About the SIX-ITS Academy

SIX-ITS.com formerly Anglo Australian Private Investigator Training Academy is a partner to SMSI International and Six.com and provides a completely integrated approach to Occupational Health & Safety, Rehabilitation, Innovation, Research and Training.

Six-its.com is the Investigation Training Services area that provides total investigation training throughout all facets of industry and in whatever area it is required; Health & Safety, accident and incidents in the workplace, Private Investigator Training, Government Investigation training, Fraud and Court compliance training and Security & Risk Management Training providing certification through its partner RTO the Australian Security Academy. Six-its.com also provides a pre-employment background checking investigation service.

Australian Director - Laurie Mullen

The director of the academy is Laurie Mullen, a former police officer from the UK who served as a Detective Sergeant in the Hampshire Police.

Over a 27 year career he completed many investigations and attended several investigation based courses such as cognitive interview techniques, initial detectives course and supervisory courses. He is Major incident room trained in a supervisory role and has assisted and supervised on many serious crimes investigations.

Laurie has also been instructed in Equal Opportunities, child protection and vulnerable persons interview training. Health and Safety Manual Handling and supervisor training on ECHR (European Commission on Human Rights). Laurie has also trained others in statement taking, interview techniques, DNA testing and the continuity of and handling of evidence. He acquired a vast amount of training and experience before retiring and emigrating to Australia in 2003.

Shortly after arrival in Australia he acquired his private investigators licence and began working as a PI concentrating in the main on Workers Compensation injury claims. He has gained the following qualifications since his arrival in Australia

  • Certificate III in Investigative Services.
  • Certificate IV in Investigative Services.
  • Certificate IV in Security and Risk Management.
  • Diploma of Security and Risk Management.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

Having become a trading partner of the Australian Security Academy he is now able to provide training the successful completion of which results in nationally recognised certificates.

Chairman Director MAICD - Chris Bulbrook

Executive and Co Director Chris Bulbrook has a long history of health and safety at work within the mining industry. He is a member of the Australian Institute of company directors, was the chairman of the Strategic Leaders group – mining industry skills centre as well as being a member of several mining industry advisory groups. He is a member of the Queensland Government Industry civil infrastructure learning and capacity committee.

Chris has a passion for ensuring safety in the mining and oil industries and has become a director of Six-its in order to pass on his knowledge of safety within the industry and to ensure health and safety officers throughout mining are able to easily access health and safety training or recognition of their competencies via the RPL method.

One of his more recent roles was as the site senior executive for CHALCO (Mining) Australia in far north Queensland.
